Pajama Party and Crafting Weekend

For the last couple months Kim, Ruth and I have been talking about our art projects, texting directions for our projects, & e-mailing pictures of our projects, so we decided why don't we just have a project making and sharing weekend. We gathered at Forever Weekend Farm on Friday at noon and started the weekend with a champagne toast. We headed to Vero Beach for Thai lunch at The Siam Orchid and then shopping at two of my favorite thrift stores. We loaded the car with beads, material and old treasure finds and headed to my house to let the crafting begin. The craft room was billowing with laughter, material, wine and beads. We stopped long enough for steak dinner and then back to the drawing board!
Saturday we got up and our good friend from back in junior high met us for breakfast at Dominick's Corner Grill. Jerren and Pat were getting off the night shift at the hospital so they joined us for omelets, grits and coffee. Then off we went to the Ft. Pierce Farmer's Market. We checked out all the craft booths and then had to sample gelato by the river before heading home. Now this is when the PJ party began! We spread out our wares, set up a new printer, got into our comfy jammies and sewed and beaded all afternoon. We stopped long enough for Kim to cook us a delicious salmon dinner.
Sunday we got up and set the sewing machines up on the screened porch---stayed in our PJs and continued working like busy little bees. We couldn't even pull ourselves away to meet up with Pat and Jer for a beer down at the Tiki--we just kept on creating! It was dark when we decided to stop, clean up, and order out from 12 A Buoy seafood for dinner! We went to bed with projects and artwork swimming in our heads.
Unfortunately all great times must end, and Monday morning arrived. After early cups of coffee, I got dressed and headed to real work..........they got on the road and headed to Orlando........I missed them all day and it was hard to come home to a sister less house that night. I sat and thought about all the laughs and all the fun
and boy, did we get a lot of crafting accomplished!! Can't wait to do it again!!
