Welcome Magnolia Goulet!

             CELEBRATING MAGNOLIA
Magnolia has not graced the planet yet, she is still tucked up tight in her Mama's belly, but boy, does she have a wonderful, loving, group of admirers just awaiting her arrival! And many of them gathered at Forever Weekend Farm Saturday afternoon to show her parents, Will and Keara, that not only do we all love the two of them, but we are ready to love, cuddle and adore Maggie!
Right before the party was to start, Mother Earth showered the farm with much needed rain which cleansed the air and made room for the earthy smells of spring and citrus blossoms! The sun came out and soon the breeze was carrying the wonderful aroma of Jerren and Courtney's cooking from the kitchen to the palm hammock. Everyone was treated to an array of their delicious appetizers: Tomato, basil, mozzarella balls, grilled shrimp topped on cups of asparagus and dried tomato & almond couscous, watermelon squares drizzled with balsamic reduction and feta cheese, stuffed shrimp wrapped in prosciutto, almond stuffed dates wrapped in bacon, roasted red pepper & garlic salsa and FWF's special kettle chips smothered in chopped onion and jalapenos, three cheeses and capers! Wonderful friends mingled, ate and celebrated the coming of Magnolia. Joe sang a "Magnolia" ditty and gifts from the heart were presented to Will and Keara--- favorite books, adorable clothes, a magnolia tree. a painting of a magnolia blossom, an antiqued hobby horse, artsy stuffed toys were some of the presents and then the main course was served! Jerren and Courtney cooked 3 different types of risotto and set up a risotto bar to go along with chicken and veggie kabobs. We had mini fudge and peanut butter brownies with fresh whipped cream for dessert! The food and guests were fabulous!
Everyone had a wonderful evening and enjoyed getting to know each other. We are all united in the love we have for Will, Keara and Magnolia! June is right around the corner. Our beloved photographer, Donna Roberts, took beautiful pictures that night so more pictures will be added soon!

ELWOOD

ELWOOD
You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
Sail away, enjoy every hour
You belong somewhere you feel free

Run away, be earth's great brother
Go away discover all that's new
I have seen no other
Who compares with you

You belong among the wildflowers
You belong in a boat out at sea
You belong with dolphins and starfish
You belong somewhere you feel free

Run away, take care of the planet
Run away, let your heart be your guide
You have the greatest of parents
You will thrive in their home with the tides

You belong among the wildflowers
You belong somewhere close to me
Far away from any trouble and worry
You belong somewhere you feel free
You belong somewhere you feel free
By Tom Petty w/words tweaked by a loving g ma
(Conor and I danced to this song when he married the love of his life!)

On Elwood
There are no words to describe the overwhelming flood of emotions I feel when I look at my son holding his son. Was it that long ago that Joe and I held a newborn Conor in our arms and marveled at every sound and expression he emitted. He entertained us all day long and we patiently watched him nap waiting for him to wake up and mesmerize us with his smiles and squeaks! And all of sudden the years flew by and before we knew it Conor grew into this handsome, smart, athletic, loving sailor and steward of the planet! He fell in love with a beautiful, smart, athletic, loving mermaid and stewardess of the planet and when such awesome hearts collide a star-fish is born!  I am swimming in an ocean of joy!

This will be my all time favorite picture of 5 & 1/2 lb EW
swallowed in his car seat for his ride home. Yes, go ahead, laugh at his
long skinny legs and seemingly big feet.
Soon he will be swimming with the dolphins, forever free from trouble and worry,
among the wildflowers & forever close to me!

Jerren's 30th Birthday Party--2/11/12!

WOW!
What a fun time we had celebrating Jerren's 30th birthday, Saturday, Feb. 11th. First, Pat surprised her and took her to NYC for a week before the party for wining and dining at the best places. And he had an appointment for her to get her hair cut by........someone very famous.....oh yes, Nick Arrojo of What not to Wear! They spent the week sightseeing, and eating great food. After a week there they flew into Orlando on Saturday and drove to the farm expecting to see a few of Jerren's friends for a little party to celebrate her 30th. We had a great group of Jerren's friends and her Aunt Kimi and cousins Ashley and Sarah surprised her! Her hair looked great and she had lots of wonderful New York stories to tell! We all ate hamburgers, Kim's awesome Settler Beans and Mac and Cheese, Courtney's special cole slaw, Keara's delicious blueberry pie and my fudgy Hershey chocolate cake. Then the bon fire was lit! Happy Birthday, Jerren! How many people have a group of friends and family form a band to play and sing and celebrate your special day! It was a great time for all and a wonderful birthday for a very special Jerren!!
