ELWOOD & Getting Ready for AMA

Elwood
I had the day off and what better place to go than to go visit my Elwood. I jumped in my car early and headed to Melbourne. I had called my sister Kimi who was eager to see Elwood too, so we set up a place to meet as she would be driving from Orlando. Meghan was game to also squeeze in a run to the quilt shop in Rockledge-one big candy store if you love to sew as much as me. Kimi brought along Ashley - The Quilt Shop became our meeting place!
Meghan and I wanted to also add in a lunch at D.I.G. an organic restaurant off Wickham Road, but it was in the opposite direction for Kim to head back to Orlando-so we decided to put DIG on the top on our list for next visit! The five of us did enjoy a nice lunch at Ruby Tuesdays---and of course Elwood was the highlight of the trip!!!
I had just pulled in the drive and it may be a bit stretched--but yes, he was bringing Oma fresh picked flowers!

Oma brought him fresh catch of the day!

And I think he liked it!

Ashley snuck in some hugs and kisses!

So did Aunt Pip!
Elwood was truly a dream child all afternoon!

I had to show  him one of the
heads of my sunflowers from the farm!

It was as big as Elwood and I think it weighed more!

I came back home and was greeted by Jerren and Ama!!

This is how four baby crazy adults spent Memorial Day!
This is a sneak peek at our artwork and design! We can't wait for all to visit to see the end product!!

Ama,-it takes 2-3 pair of glasses for Opa to see and he wears them all at the same time!

Believe me! We had so much fun! And we had to record the progress for Ama!
Time to clean up and enjoy our Memorial Day Feast!

Morning Coffee & A Visit with Elwood

We love to have our morning coffee sitting by the garden & watching the chickens.
Neither Willie nor Joe like me to take pictures
until they wake up.

This sun flower was so big it could not hold itself up any longer.

Getting really tall!

Resting on the chicken coop

I love to surround myself with flowers!
Start the day out colorful!

Not waking up!

OK--now this makes our day! Be still my heart--I can't explain the joy of having Elwood visit. Meghan drove down with Elwood to attend our sweet friends, Mundo and Mysha's going away party!
We missed Conor on this visit as he had business to take care of in Panama.
Hi Oma & Opa-need a hanger?

Check out this hat his Momma got him!

Jer and I were knocking into each other with cameras clicking to capture this cool kid!

We could just watch him all day
as he walks around checking out his world.
Elwood!--Best entertainment ever!

He loved this hat as much as we did!
And check out the sea glass pants.

Good bye to Mundo and Mysha
We enjoyed a great BBQ for their going away party.
And they had a present for Ama-
adorable pink polka dot bath robe!!

Kentucky Derby Party
I loved this watercolor version of
the girls in our Derby Hats

Derby Party at Jer and Pat's
&
Beach Party with the Gang

We had a great time at Josh & Jessica's house.
Nestled in an old neighborhood of Ft. Pierce the
their house has a lush yard full of native flora and fruit trees.
This is one of their pets--Sophie

The boys played ping pong and the kids loved it when the neighborhood ice cream truck stopped to sell refreshments.

Just a beautiful evening at the farm
watching a thunderstorm roll in.

The girls love watermelon!

More garden pictures

We celebrated the Kentucky Derby at Jer and Pat's house
The kids swam and the adults played corn hole
and betted on the race!

Putting our bets in the hat!

Char & Jessica show off their winning ticket--ORB!

Rare double sunflower from the garden!

Jer's house is such fun!
