Our Trip to Island Carenero and The Cosmic Crab Plus more

Today, Sunday, we are up early to head to Paunch Beach to show off our paunches and haunches. This a great place for shelling and smelling. It is known for it's beautiful sea glass, but you have to weed through other unknowns to find it. It was the shelling, not the smelling that worked up our appetite so we will take a water taxi to the Island of Canenero (Conor explains I can swim across to the island if I wanted to) for the famous
brunch offered at the Cosmic Crab.
Last night we headed downtown again
to enjoy beers and a Thai dinner.
Included in this blog are pictures of the
local scenery & our Cosmic Crab adventure.

Elwood seems to have grown so much this week!
Nothing better than some Margaritas

There are a lot of ways to get to the Cosmic Crab

A quaint and delicious restaurant
The Cosmic Crab
We all brought our appetites
We were not disappointed-Pecan pancakes, french toast, banana bread, johnny cakes, deviled eggs, pasta salad, brown sugar sticky rice, bacon, ham, sausage, and made to order omelettes and a Bloody Mary Bar!
Some of the table decorations
The Bloody Marys came in 3 different flavors-
creamy horseradish, habenero, and spicy

On our walk home from the water taxi we discovered Conor's VW bus was vandalized!

Oh My!

We suspect it was the culprits below!

We were not fooled by
her sweet and innocent ways

On our walk home we pass a backyard banana garden
We pass a lot of stuff

It is a colorful walk

  1. I love the last picture! Elwood looks happy and healthy. And I agree, he does seem to be changing and growing everyday. You are all so lucky to be there watching it, and Thanks for sharing him with us too! Loving all the pictures of the area and locals. I feel like I'm walking around with you all!
